There are no clearly defined and published procedures on counteracting sexual harassment at my university. In my opinion, implementing transparent and clear procedures would certainly limit the inappropriate behavior that occurs in this type of institution. Clear rules and safe methods for reporting individual cases, as well as a consistent way of reporting them, would certainly help here. It is also very important to conduct training for all staff, during which issues related to sexual harassment would be discussed, but also examples of inappropriate behavior. In my country, still a significant number of people see nothing wrong with sexist jokes or unwanted proposals in interpersonal relationships.
