It is very motivating reading all of you with such analytical insights and possible solutions. I agree with many of the comments in which it depends absolutely in the context. I am originally from Mexico (in which the gaps are even more pronounced) but actually work in the EU for almost 10 years. Fortunately in the company I am employed (in the Czech Republic) our director (top management, that are decision bodies) is a a woman, and with the support of our CEO the company has implemented actions for the work-life balance. Before the pandemics we always had the opportunity to work from home, mainly the employees with small children (both men and women). Parental leave is always supported. There are other ways how to improve some gender related topics, however in my personal experience, the current management at work has been adequate. I wish that many positions and organisations have similar experience. Thanks to the EU policies on Gender Equality and the Horizon Europe requirements this will be improved.
